I love visiting in all seasons. In the warmer seasons the gardens are beautiful and blooming. The Independence Day activities are great with fireworks at night. The gardens at Christmas are adorned with beautiful lights and there are activities for the kids, including Santa pics and carriage rides. There are food trucks on some days as well as a variety of other special events throughout the year. You can easily spend a day here even without a festival!

Been a member for Years (Since 2004) love it !! Been taking my son since he was 5 months old. Nice to walk around just relax and enjoy the scenery changing of flowers seasonally and constant Garden activities Santa, Christmas lights, Easter Bunny food and wine, food trucks highly recommended!! Much better price if you buy a membership as opposed to paying each visit the membership will pay for itself in three visits.

There's something going on here all year round. The Chinese Lantern Festival and the holiday lights were both worth seeing. Be sure to check out the orchid house. They also run some educational classes. I attended a couple of photography classes here, run by Dave Kelly, and can recommend them to anyone.

Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens is quite a beautiful place to visit. It's relatively young in age compared to larger and more established gardens throughout the USA. However, its future is bright with a well thought out master plan. There is room to grow. So, if you are a "Green Thumb" gardener passing through the Charlotte area, then check this garden out. You won't be disappointed in its youthfulness. Just don't compare it with the big league famous gardens since its not at that level yet. We attend seasonal events at the gardens since we live locally. The pictures here are from their Chinese Lantern Festival event. It was a different perspective to see all these animal lanterns lit up throughout the gardens. The event was surely a success since many of their dates were sold out. Enjoy your visit to DSBG!

We have an annual membership and enjoy walking the gardens regularly, but it is on the small side. They have special events throughout the year which are nice. They would be better if they were included in the membership, but alas you only get discounted entry. I recommend if only for a nice place to take the family and enjoy nature periodically.
